sadcubus: (eyes trigger innocence)

a very basic info post

Rosalyn "Roz" Granata is a succubus! That's probably the big one that you will need to worry about. She is, however, an extremely online succubus—sort of a NEET, except society just doesn't have a place for her actual job. She moved out of Hell a while back because Earth is a lot more interesting, though she lives in south Jersey so how much different is it, really. It's easy to blend in here; there's colleges right across the river, there's strip malls and hole-in-the-wall pizza joints everywhere, and she's pretty sure nobody else is bothering to move in on her territory.

Which is fortunate, because if somebody without her particular set of brain problems moved in, she'd probably starve. Just because she's a demon from Hell doesn't mean she's not allowed to have mental illnesses, and Satan below does she struggle with depression. A whole suite of things related to it, really—depression, anxiety, executive dysfunction, a lot of fun stuff for someone who gets her meals the way she does. On good nights, which are fewer and farther between lately, she knows how to dress up nice and drop the glamours and look like what basically all the stories warn people about when it comes to succubi.

More often than not, though, she's in an oversized hoodie and either jeans or sweats, her hair's a little messy, her scarf is pulled up over her chin, and she's hiding all of her demonic features. And she knows how to work that particular allure just enough to get some soul food, we shall say, when she decides to order delivery from one of the ten Chinese places within two miles of her apartment. There's a rotating cast of underpaid college kids and a lot of them seem to really like ending up at her door, for some reason, but they can never quite remember why.

All of this is to say that generally, people don't know she's a succubus. She's just this dorky girl that ends up in a bunch of group chats about stupid fandom stuff and whatever, and maybe on good days she'll admit that she's kind of fun to talk to.
